This year’s theme, “Feast of Flowers,” transforms Commonwealth Park into a vibrant celebration of nature, community, and seasonal harvest. With over one million blooms, immersive garden beds inspired by culinary delights, food and wine workshops, live music, and artisan market stalls, it is the ultimate spring day out.

Rixons makes visiting Floriade simple and affordable by adding a dedicated Floriade stop to our regular daily Rx1 (Coast to Canberra) and Rx2 (Canberra to Coast) services—with no extra stop fee. Fares start from just $36 one way (or $67 same-day return with our return discount).
What’s On at Floriade 2026: A “Feast of Flowers”
Commonwealth Park comes alive every day from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a full calendar of activities, entertainment, and culinary experiences:
Over 1 Million Blooms: Explore massive garden bed displays crafted around this year’s sensory theme, drawing inspiration from seasonal harvests, vibrant fresh produce, and communal feasting.
Cooking Demos & Foodie Masterclasses: Head to The Garden House for live culinary demonstrations featuring top local and national talent, including Stephanie Alexander, Chef Clement Chauvin (Les Bistronomes), and teams from Such and Such, Pilot, and Lunetta.
Gardening Talks & Creative Workshops: Pick up green-thumb tips with cut-flower workshops, kitchen garden sessions by Majura Valley Farm, photography tours, and hands-on craft activities.
Live Music & Artisan Markets: Browse dozens of boutique market stalls offering local wines, handmade wares, and regional produce while enjoying daily acoustic sets and cultural stage performances.
NightFest (1–4 October): When the sun goes down, the park transforms into an illuminated wonderland of night light installations and headline evening performances.
Dogs’ Day Out (Sunday, 11 October): Bring your pup along on the festival’s final day for dedicated dog-friendly programming, stage shows, and canine treats.
Create Your Own Canberra Itinerary
Taking our morning service up and the afternoon return gives you 6 to 7 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. You are never locked into just one destination:
Pure Floriade: Get dropped right by Commonwealth Park at ~9:40 AM and picked up at ~4:15 PM.
Mix & Match: Get dropped off at Floriade in the morning, wander into the City Centre or Lake Burley Griffin, and catch the Rx2 back from Civic.
City Sights + Flowers: Get dropped in Canberra for appointments, museums, or shopping, and meet the bus at Floriade for your afternoon trip home.

Service & Booking Details
Door-to-Door Coast Service: Available in the Batemans Bay area—we pick you up from your door in the morning and return you home in the evening.
Floriade Drop-off & Pick-up Point: ACT Parks Depot, 30 Barrine Drive, Parkes (conveniently located right at Commonwealth Park).
Schedule: Departs coastal stops early morning (arriving ~9:40 AM at Floriade); departs Floriade at ~4:15 PM (arriving back on the Coast from ~7:00 PM).
